There will be a hollow Christmas tree ornament breakout session held at Alan Leland’s studio in Durham, NC. The workshop will be in three sections. The first section will consist of hollowing the globe and will be taught by either Beau Bunn or Steve Payne. It will be followed by a short section on surface treatment to include color and finish conducted by Frank Penta. Finally, the last section will be on ice cycle or cap design with turning instruction taught by Alan Leland.
The will be a small fee for wood if you choose not to bring you own. Lunch will also be on your own. Come prepared to learn from some of our guild’s finest and leave with a completed hollow Christmas tree ornament.
